   A Letter from the President

Greetings!

I have recently read an article by Mark A. Cunningham that New Years resolutions are not unlike lottery tickets. They offer terrific material for daydreams, but quickly lose their luster once opportunity turns into reality. Even the federal government cannot resist the allure of the promise of a new year and has seen fit to direct a bureaucrat somewhere to research the most popular New Years resolutions in the United States and post his findings on an official U. S. Government website.* While some might question the wisdom of our government spending our tax dollars to measure the popularity of New Years resolutions, I thought you might be interested in mine for KPBA in 2008:

1. INFORMATIVE : I hope you leave every meeting feeling like you learned something that you can truly apply to your everyday business practice.

2. EMPOWERED : I hope you can take this information and use to empower you to grow your company.

3. UNEXPECTED : I fully intend to have events this year that will surprise and engage you to become a more active member.

4. INSPIRATIONAL : I want to hear your voice and ideas. I want our meetings to inspire you and add insight and perspective to your company.
